3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to perform duties related to the installation and maintenance of production machines and plant facility equipment. This role involves mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of production machines. You will read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints, perform regular preventive maintenance, and use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.

+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

+ Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

+ Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

+ Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

+ Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report unusual situations to management.

Essential Skills

+ Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aptitude.

+ Ability to change out a motor (480V).

+ Experience in a highly automated, production environment, preferably with a food and beverage manufacturing environment.

+ Knowledge of conveyor systems, PLCs, automation, and multivac machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in the food and beverage industry.

+ Experience with Multivac machines.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled and clean. The 3rd shift hours are from 10:30pm to 6:30am, Monday through Friday, with 5 hours of overtime built into the standard weekly schedule. Employees have one day off during the week, with every other weekend off, and the day off varies. This role involves putting equipment back together after sanitation, making it ideal for less experienced individuals on the 3rd shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr.
