Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

This position combines the roles of a delivery assistant and warehouse helper. You will accompany a full-time employee in a truck to deliver windows and doors. Your day will primarily involve traveling to various sites, such as construction areas or new build homes. Upon reaching the destination, you will assist the driver in unloading windows and doors, which can weigh up to 100 lbs, onto pallets. You will also support warehouse operations by performing tasks such as order picking and staging, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, and products, and ensuring all products are delivered to the correct customers.

Responsibilities

+ Ride along with a full-time employee to deliver windows and doors.

+ Assist in unloading products weighing up to 100 lbs onto pallets.

+ Perform order picking and staging as needed in the warehouse.

+ Receive, store, and distribute materials and products within the warehouse.

+ Ensure products are delivered to the correct customers.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with forklifts and RF scanners.

+ General warehouse and delivery experience.

+ Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.

+ Comfortable working at heights.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Computer savvy with the ability to operate software and Outlook.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 6 months to 1 year of warehouse experience.

Work Environment

The work environment includes company warehouse facilities and customer job sites, with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud. Temperature varies with the seasons. The work environment is similar to that of retail warehouses like Lowe's, Home Depot, or Menards. The position starts and ends at the Plymouth warehouse, but relocation to the New Hope or Brooklyn Park facility may be required. Typical work hours are from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the potential for longer hours into the afternoon and evening, especially on long routes with a driver. Employees can expect to work 40 hours per week, with no overtime currently available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
