Our Engineering Team is responsible for creating innovative solutions that address issues in our manufacturing facilities. We do this through increasing productivity by integrating new technologies and methodologies to deliver superior manufacturing processes. The Engineering Technician II will be accountable for the activities of the department requiring the application of skills to operate custom equipment and other systems in support of production and continuous improvement activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Working with engineering and Set-up Technicians on changeovers, equipment setups, and equipment PMs.

+ Work through multiple parallel path options for production methods.  Both internal processes and investigation of new processes.

+ Work on manufacturing floor to troubleshoot and improve processes.

+ Provides technical and training assistance to shift operators and Set-up Technicians.

+ Reads and understands part prints and process documentation.

+ Able to assist and support corrective action, cross-functional quality, downtime and scrap.

+ Familiar with the manufacturing environment and various manufacturing processes.

+ Work with outside vendors and project engineers on continuous improvement and new equipment design.

Education and/or Experience:

+ Technology related Associate Degree or trade school preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience in various manufacturing processes.

+ Experience with assembly, winding, pressing, robotics, or testing processes.

+ Ability to interpret part drawings, knowledge of part quality requirements, and computer systems required.

+ Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Well-developed and innovative problem-solving skills required.

+ CAD experience a strong plus.

+ Have the ability to work with minimal direction.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

+ The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 70 pounds.

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

+ Occasional bending, crouching, twisting, reaching.

+ Employees may be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells.
