Job Description: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for processing daily customer payments received via check, credit card, and ACH. The role requires accurate and prompt application of payments to customer accounts, generating and analyzing aging reports, and following up with customers regarding outstanding balances. Additionally, the specialist will initiate and process customer refund requests while building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with customers. Monitoring and managing accounts on daily credit hold is also part of the role.

Responsibilities:

+ Process daily customer payments received via check, credit card, and ACH.

+ Accurately and promptly apply payments to customer accounts.

+ Generate and analyze aging reports.

+ Follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances.

+ Initiate and process customer refund requests.

+ Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers.

+ Monitor and manage accounts on daily credit hold.

Qualifications:

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payment processing.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and internal collaboration.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Accounts Receivable experience would be a plus, but not required.

Work Environment: The work environment is positive and family-owned, offering a great opportunity for individuals looking to enter the accounting field, even without prior experience. The team consists of two people, including a Credit Manager and another person in Accounts Receivable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
