Jabil is hiring for a Media Relations Lead to work onsite in our corporate headquarters located in St. Petersburg, FL. The salary range for this position is $105,000–$120,000 commensurate with experience.
How will you make an impact?
As the Media Relations Lead with Jabil, you will be responsible for developing and strategically managing innovative, results-driven public relations and media relations initiatives that elevate Jabil’s brand reputation, support business priorities, and strengthen visibility across media covering the company’s key focus areas.

What will you do?
+ Develop and implement strategic public relations campaigns that support Jabil’s business priorities and enhance Jabil’s brand reputation and visibility.
+ Interface regularly with key leaders and subject matter experts to formulate and manage PR and media relations strategies, content, and timing.
+ Respond to media inquiries and proactively build relationships with journalists, editors, and producers, including in the Tampa Bay media market.
+ Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media alerts, thought leadership content, talking points, and other PR collateral.
+ Coordinate media interviews and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure media presence at appropriate events.
+ Prepare senior leaders and subject matter experts for interactions with the press through media training sessions and written briefings.
+ Monitor, analyze, and report on media coverage and PR campaign effectiveness using Meltwater; evaluate PR and media relations initiatives to measure their performance and ensure they are meeting/exceeding goals/objectives.
+ Work closely with internal stakeholders to support the management of external-facing issues and crisis communications swiftly and thoughtfully, maintaining Jabil’s reputation in challenging situations.
+ Stay up to date with trending stories in Jabil’s key industries, competitor activity, and emerging content channels to find new areas of opportunity for Jabil.
+ Support continuous improvement of the global external communications function to include resources, tools, and lessons learned/best practices.
+ May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, English, or a related field.
+ At least 5 years of proven experience in public relations and media relations, preferably at a B2B company or in an agency setting working with customers in B2B, manufacturing, supply chain, or high technology industries.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging messages, demonstrated in a portfolio and/or work samples.
+ Effectively builds relationships within the organization to help achieve business outcomes. Demonstrates expertise in dealing with business partners at a strategic level, coaching and counseling them, and influencing how leadership thinks about PR.
+ Demonstrated success securing coverage in top-tier business press and trade outlets covering manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, technology, and Jabil’s key businesses (such as data centers, robotics, and healthcare). A solid network of relevant journalist contacts is a plus.
+ Experienced in crisis management and the development of proactive response strategies.
+ Strong news sense.
+ Provides superior communications counsel to senior leaders and subject matter experts, enabling them to confidently navigate media opportunities. Coaches executives and helps them relate to their audience.
+ Exacting attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Comfortable with a rapidly shifting environment.
+ High level of proficiency with media monitoring and PR analytics tools, such as Meltwater, Cision, or Muck Rack.
+ Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and e-mail skills required.
+ Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Possesses a global perspective and cultural sensitivity; experience with media outside the U.S. is a plus.
+ Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
