The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

     

    LinkedIn’s Engineering Horizontals Strategic Finance team is looking for a strategic thinker and motivated operator who is passionate about helping LinkedIn create productive and successful engineering teams. The role with partner closely with the DPX team at LinkedIn, an Engineering team focused on building AI tooling, automation and other strategic capabilities for a productive and successful engineering organization. This is a high-impact role that will help define and drive the strategy, operations, and financial and initiative planning behind LinkedIn’s investments to support a future ready engineering team.

     

    This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Strategy, and Operations in close partnership with engineering teams. As a Sr. Associate on the Engineering Horizontals Strategic Finance team, you’ll ensure we’re making smart, financially sound and data-driven investments to deliver on LinkedIn’s strategic direction and productivity goals for its engineering teams.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Thinking

    + Operationalizes ideas and develops plans for execution with some support from more senior team members.

    + Builds collaborative relationships with other teams and seeks input and feedback to develop and understanding of their priorities and constraints

    Stakeholder Influence

    + Communicates implications of work (e.g., forecasts, analyses, trends) to management and cross-functional stakeholders to drive action.

    + Leverages insights and data to develop narratives to influence stakeholders with limited guidance.

    Execution & Organization

    + Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to support the growth of initiatives by providing a metrics- oriented perspective, with minimal supervision.

    Performance Management

    + Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform data sources and analyze to assess signals, trends, and risks.

    + Leverages advanced knowledge to develop hypotheses using identified signals, trends, and risks.

    + Executes ad hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address ambiguous or complex business questions, deriving actionable insights from results.

    + Proactively seeks out feedback and provides constructive feedback to colleagues.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 3 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience..

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 1+ years of experience in the technology industry.

    + 1+ years of experience working with product and engineering teams on road-mapping and initiative prioritization

    + 1+ years of experience translating engineering metrics into impact outcomes and driving ROI-based decision making

    LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

     

    The pay range for this role is $98,000 - $158,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
