The opportunity
Delaware North Travel is hiring a part-time Kiosk Attendant to join our team at Lexington Airport in Lexington, Kentucky. As a Kiosk Attendant, you will be responsible for receiving, maintaining, and storing front and back of house restaurant supplies and step into other kitchen roles as needed to support the team's overall success.
Hours: 3:45 AM - 9:30 AM
On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US-based Travel Hospitality Services (THS) business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of the Areas. Areas will operate 369 locations in 27 airports and 12 travel plazas nationwide, with a U.S. workforce of over 6,000. What will you do?
+ Monitor all deliveries to the unit and properly analyze invoices and quality and quantity of products. Inspect all products upon delivery for quality, temperature, and condition.
+ Report any faulty or incorrect deliveries immediately to the manager.
+ Receive, open, unpack, and stock new or transferred restaurant supplies to their appropriate shelves, racks, tables, and service stations, storing them safely and securely.
+ Perform proper rotation of all food and beverage products upon receipt in a first-out mentality.
+ Keep the immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
+ Properly handles and stores all chemicals received.
+ Clean and maintain storage and delivery areas; ensure all kitchen and dining room equipment is clean, sanitary, and in good repair.
+ Maintain the receiving log by competently tracking all deliveries and missing items.
+ Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
+ Break down boxes and dispose of them properly.
+ Be able to perform opening, mid, and closing duties as outlined by management.
More about you
+ High school diploma or general education degree; one to three months of previous stock clerk/steward or related experience and/or training highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
+ Ability to multitask but remain organized.
+ Must have strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Physical requirements
+ Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift; there is a chair for occasional sitting.
+ Frequently required to reach, pull, push, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
+ Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds.
