Lead Engineer, Applications Development

Requirements gathering, project estimation, developing test plans, and release/change management.
Analyze system requirements and program interactions.
Develop new code or reuse existing code as recommended.
Lead projects, coordinate efforts, and monitor performance.
Stay current with new technologies and methodologies.
Participate in system testing, validation, and documentation.
Provide technical advice and assist in resolving programming problems.
Write/review system specifications, including requirements and flow charts.
Assist in project planning and review test results.
Address problems to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
Optimize COBOL programs for performance in a high-transaction environment.
Assist in migrating legacy COBOL applications to modern architectures.
Work on application refactoring, rehosting, or integrating with web services (SOAP/REST).
**REQUIREMENTS:** Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business Analytics, or related.
Five (5) years in any occupation with development, engineering, or related experience.
Five (5) years in any occupation with development, engineering, or related experience must include: HPNS COBOL85, SQL/MX, SQL/MP; Pathway servers; HPNS/Tandem Guardian OS; Git, Python, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes technologies; IBM MQ; and Amazon Web Services including S3, EC2, EMR, IAM, RedShift.
**SALARY** : $145,642 per year
