Job Summary:
+ Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes.
+ Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
+ Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
+ Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.

+ Able to analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layouts of equipment and workcells for maximum efficiency with minimal supervision.
+ Will include design of tooling, lifting devices, fixtures, etc.
+ Evaluate safety procedures and reduce hazards throughout the plant.
+ Work with R&D or design groups to go over design review process in new product development.
+ Will utilize ERP with intermediate knowledge for assigned tasks such as pulling Bill of Materials (BOM) or pulling drawings from product life cycle management (PLM), engineering software tools or internal databases.
+ Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
+ Meet with internal groups to support manufacturing needs.
+ Mentor and assist in the training and development of junior level engineers and technicians
+ Strong awareness of manufacturing costs and process improvement.
Tools/Equipment:
+ MS Office, ERP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro-E/CREO use of various electronic instruments and measuring tools.
Education:
+ BSEE, BSME, BSIE
Experience:
+ 5-10 years relevant work experience
The following knowledge or abilities are a plus, although not required for this position:
+ Knowledge of Die-Casting, Machining, & Stamping Processes
+ Knowledge of NC Programming & Software, particularly MasterCAM
+ Knowledge of AutoCAD (2D), Creo (3D), & Windchill (PLM) Software
+ Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS)
+ Ability to speak Spanish
Work Environment:
+ General office environment, with exposure to electrical and heavy industry hazards, possible non-climate-controlled environments
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., standing, stooping, climbing, kneeling, crawling
