    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As we continue to look for more sustainable ways to build, we need world-class talent to join our team. We are seeking an Production Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 who is passionate about sustainability, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning May 27th, 2026.

     

    This internship will be based at our site in Addison, TX.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    A Production Engineer Intern at Amrize learns about the Aggregates Mining Industry. Responsibilities include:

    + Review and correct daily sales workflow issues

    + Review production entries throughout the week to ensure data integrity

    + Review Qlikview data for integrity and make necessary corrections after conversations with plant management

    + Provide market-wide Key Performance Indicator roll-ups for Operations Managers and finance teams

    + Develop presentations to discuss KPIs and leading causes of downtimes

    + Assist with forecasting and cost tracking

    + Maintain mobile and fixed equipment lists and functional locations at all sites, including transfers, acquisitions, and disposals

    + Guide or assist sites with modifying processing facility designs and layouts to improve efficiency, productivity, and maintenance

    + Interact with sites to ensure a proper preventive maintenance program is followed

    + Interpret drone survey data of mine site stock piles and provide true-up calculations

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We are looking for enthusiastic students who meet the following criteria:

    + Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Mining, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.

    + Strong academic performance.

    + Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    + Proven ability to multi-task.

    + Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

    + Team oriented and able to work with all levels of the organization.

    + Willing to spend time out in the field getting to know the business first hand.

    + Possess, or willing to obtain, FAA 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

    SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT

    + Work Schedule:This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift each day.

    + Work Environment: You’ll be working in various aggregate environments (i.e. quarry, sand/gravel site, surface mine, construction site), where you’ll encounter moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and more.

    + Transportation: Interns are responsible for their own transportation to and from their worksites.

    + Travel: Throughout the internship, you may need to travel to other sites for tours, shadowing experiences, or intern events.
