    Join Ford Land's Energy Team as a Natural Gas and Water Supply Lead and play a pivotal role in driving our sustainable future. We're looking for a strategic and action-oriented professional to lead the tactical implementation of critical natural gas and water supply agreements and infrastructure, administer key performance contracts, and directly contribute to our carbon reduction initiatives, advancing Ford's corporate sustainability goals across North America.

     

    In this position…

     

    As a Natural Gas and Water Supply Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring reliable and sustainable energy for Ford's operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing critical natural gas and water supply agreements across our North American facilities. This role requires close collaboration with legal, procurement, and manufacturing teams to successfully execute performance contracts. We're looking for a strategic thinker and problem-solver who can identify and capitalize on opportunities for competitive advantage within the dynamic energy and performance contracting landscapes.

     

    This is an onsite position and requires 5 days in the office in Dearborn, MI.

    What You'll Do…

    + **Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation:**

    + Develop and negotiate commercial frameworks for natural gas and water infrastructure to ensure reliable supply to Ford facilities.

    + Lead competitive procurement processes for natural gas in deregulated markets, optimizing for value.

    + **Project & Contract Management:**

    + Manage the development, contract negotiation, and administration of energy efficiency projects.

    + Administer performance contracts, ensuring compliance and successful outcomes.

    + **Energy Efficiency & Carbon Reduction:**

    + Drive the evolution and execution of Ford's carbon reduction and energy efficiency strategy.

    + Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of energy efficiency initiatives, tracking progress against established metrics.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate energy efficiency into operational processes and decision-making.

    + **Market Analysis & Reporting:**

    + Lead comprehensive reporting of natural gas and water utility consumption and costs using advanced analytical tools.

    + Provide monthly pricing forecasts based on projected market conditions.

    + Stay abreast of technical, market, and regulatory developments within the natural gas sector.

    + **Stakeholder Engagement:**

    + Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.

    + Champion a positive team culture and uphold Ford Operating System (OS) behaviors.

    You’ll have…

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Environmental).

    + 5+ years of experience in engineering/design, facilities operation, and maintenance.

    Even better, you may have…

    + Demonstrated understanding of energy procurement, natural gas markets, data management, and reporting of utility costs and energy efficiency performance.

    + Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of utility service projects, from concept development and financial analysis to corporate approval, contract execution, and implementation.

    + Prior involvement in corporate affairs and policy development related to local, state, regional, and national energy regulatory and legislative matters.

    + Experience delivering energy efficiency projects via performance contracting.

    + Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and organizational skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to apply integrated engineering knowledge to complex problems.

    + Strong analytical capabilities.

    + Relevant certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEPP), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
