*Per Diem Physical Therapist – Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, NY*
*Location:* Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, New York
*Schedule:* Per Diem – Weekday coverage for PTO/holidays, minimum 1 weekend day per month
*Hours:* Generally 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (flexible)
*Pay Rate:* $67.00 per hour *About the Role*
Northern Dutchess Hospital is seeking a *Per Diem Physical Therapist* to provide care in both the *inpatient acute care* and *inpatient acute rehab units*. This position supports patients recovering from injury, disease, or physical disability, helping them regain function and achieve their maximum performance and independence. The role is ideal for *new graduates and experienced clinicians* looking for flexible scheduling opportunities. *Key Responsibilities*

Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a licensed physician.
*
Implement therapeutic interventions to restore function, prevent disability, and improve patient mobility.
*
Educate patients on exercises and strategies to enhance recovery and daily functioning.
*
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
*
Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress.
*Qualifications*
*
Graduate of an *accredited physical therapy program* (B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.).
*
*Active New York State Physical Therapist (PT) license*.
*
Excellent manual dexterity, communication, and patient care skills.
*
Able to handle very heavy physical effort, up to 50 lbs.
*Working Conditions*

Exposure to noise, odors, human waste, and hospital environment hazards.
*
Requires significant manual skills and coordination.
*
Involves medium to very heavy physical effort.
