Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a DevCenter Engineer to join a client in Basking Ridge, NJ. The engineer will be responsible for designing and architecting product solutions for Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) environments, with a strong focus on redundancy and resource optimization. The engineer integrates these solutions with OpenShift, ensuring deployments, updates, and monitoring are automated for efficiency. Regular tasks include streamlining configuration and update processes, implementing both active and passive health monitoring, and providing actionable troubleshooting insights. Collaboration is key, as the engineer works closely with internal teams to deliver robust MEC solutions, analyze software updates, and recommend system improvements. Documentation is maintained meticulously, with scripts and configurations managed in an on-premises Git repository and all deployed configurations updated in IPAM systems like NetBox. Additionally, the role requires assembling and connecting servers, switches, and cabling in server racks to support a well-organized and efficient IT infrastructure.

Skills and Requirements

- 4+ years of experience working in the networking space

- Experience with public and private Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC)

- Ability to configure routers and switches

- Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies (Red Hat, OpenShift, OpenStack)

- Experience with building and deploying Kubernetes

- Previous experience with racking and stacking

- Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and maintain technical/project documentation - Experience with VMware

- Experience with 5G networks

- Experience with AI solutions
