Your role and responsibilities
Role Overview:
The Supplier Relationship Manager plays a key role in managing supplier partnerships for a multi-billion dollar federal acquisition program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality goods and services
* Communicate program requirements and expectations clearly to suppliers and ensure alignment with contractual obligations
* Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and metrics, and identify areas for improvement
* Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks such as non-compliance, insolvency, or supply disruptions
* Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and Federal client personnel to resolve issues and ensure continuity of critical services
* Support audits, documentation, and milestone events throughout the acquisition lifecycle
Required technical and professional expertise
* Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years, or a PhD with up to 4 years of related experience
* Proven track record in supplier relationship management and contract performance oversight
* Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and contracting vehicles
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, contracting, and technical stakeholders
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the U.S. government
Preferred technical and professional experience
* A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting supplier performance in federal acquisition environments
* Familiarity with supply chain risk management strategies and mitigation planning
* Experience using procurement systems or supplier management tools
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supplier KPIs and performance data
* Ability to build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships in complex program environments
