             Research Assistant Professor Job Summary The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is seeking a Research Assistant Professor to support and extend the development and implementation of the Center for Disability Health and Wellness (CDHW) and the completion of scholarly, training and administrative responsibilities involved with its associated grants. This work will directly impact the development of an index and intervention being developed to enhance access to safe, accessible healthcare for people with disabilities, aligning with CDHW's mission and vision. Responsibilities* Executing or assisting in funded research projects in addition to grant writing activities. Theywill beexpected to progress establishing their own funding as part of their appointment to the researchtrack. This will include identifying new research opportunities and fostering collaborations with external researchers and stakeholders. They will also be involved in mentoring graduate students and co-mentoring postdoctoral researchers. Required Qualifications* + A strong focus on enhancing the functioning of healthcare systems as well as extensive knowledge related to the implementation of research and the development of training-related activities. + Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative researchmethodologies. + A strong relationship with the U-M Department of Learning Health Sciences + Certifications in Lean Healthcare, Mixed Methods Research, and Global Health Research Women's Health Focus. + MD, PhD or equivalent Desired Qualifications* + Interest in teaching and mentoring of students, including previous engagement with various programs and summer internships / fellowships. + Research interests in healthcare infrastructure, healthcare access for vulnerable populations, implementation science, and healthcare reform.
