    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    SAIC is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer for the Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program based out of Panama City, FL. This position will be 100% remote.

     

    The qualified candidate will support the Joint & Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) program RDT&E team, providing systems and engineering support in accordance with stakeholder tasking to the RDT&E team.

    JOB DUTIES:

    + Participate in the migration of on-premises systems to the Gov Azure cloud (IL2 environment).

    + Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based systems in Azure.

    + Automate system administration tasks using Ansible and other software.

    + Implement and maintain secure network configurations.

    + Collaborate with team members in an Agile development environment.

    + Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

    + Manage and deploy containerized applications.

    + Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.

    + Contribute to the overall security posture of the system.

    + Adhere to security policies and best practices, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

    + Bachelor’s in computer science and two (2) years or more related experience. Additional years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

    + Proven experience with Azure and cloud systems.

    + Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.

    + Solid understanding of networking principles.

    + Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

    + Demonstrable experience with Ansible automation.

    + Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

    + Candidate must be a US Citizen.

    + Must currently hold a Secret clearance with the ability to acquire and maintain Active Top Secret clearance.

    + Candidate must have a Security+ certification prior to first day.

    + Demonstrated completion of AZ-104 learning modules or course materials (proof required for access).

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

    + Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

    + Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

    + Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

     

    Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
