    **Ready to drive engagement and celebrate winners?** The Minnesota Lottery is seeking a highly motivated individual whose responsibility will be to research, coordinate, implement and evaluate Lottery promotional programs to help build brand awareness and increase Lottery sales.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    + Develop strategies, promotional programs, prizing and contests that drive engagement, interaction and sales.

    + Work with staff to integrate promotions, contests and content into the Marketing Unit's plan.

    + Coordinate the set-up of all giveaways and 2nd chance contest with digital specialist.

    + Review official rules and drawing procedures for accuracy before the drawing is held.

    + Coordinate upcoming drawings, winner communications, prize fulfillment, and shipping timelines.

    Minimum Qualifications

    _To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job._

     

    Two (2) years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.

     

    *Years of experience and education **_must_** **_clearly_** demonstrate the following:

    + Basic knowledge of communication techniques, promotion strategies, and marketing principles

    + Writing skills sufficient to produce promotional copy, create correspondence, and communicate with staff and players

    + Knowledge of various software such as Microsoft Suite - Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    + Organizational, communications and team building skills sufficient to work with a variety of stakeholders

    + Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences

    *A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or Public Relations and related fields may substitute for one (1) year of experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Knowledge of promotions and promotional drawing procedures

    + Experience with marketing campaigns

    + Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or Public Relations, and related fields

    Physical Requirements

    Requires lifting of items weighing up to thirty (30) pounds such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others, and/or lifting, and carrying light objects frequently. Requires reaching and squatting to retrieve files. May also need to sit for long periods.
