    Position Summary...

     

    The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is a critical part of Walmart’s Global Ethics & Compliance program. As Director, Enterprise Risk Management, you will play a critical role in evolving Walmart’s ERM Program. This role will be a valued member of the Enterprise & Regulatory Risk Management leadership team and will be a key part of the team’s continued development of a comprehensive risk management program.

     

    What you'll do...

     

    Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that impact Walmart’s business at the enterprise level, helping to drive forward risk-based discussions around our operations and strategic growth.

     

    + **Quickly grasp the fundamentals of our business areas and enterprise-level risks.** Develop a working knowledge of Walmart’s diverse business operations and how risks manifest across the company. Draw connections across teams and risks to develop a holistic risk profile.

    + **Evolve Walmart’s ERM process.** Play a pivotal role in building and enhancing the ERM program, developing processes, standards, and operating procedures for enterprise risk assessments and mitigation actions. Identify opportunities to enhance the ERM program by integrating emerging technology and data-driven insights.

    + **Embed risk into strategic decisions.** Partner with leadership to ensure risk insights directly inform enterprise strategy, investment, and operational planning.

    + **Leverage data, metrics, and analytics.** Continue to evolve and improve how we use data to assess and monitor risks and mitigation plans. Develop risk-relevant analytics, acquire new data sets, and analyze ERM program metrics to enhance coverage, efficiency, and insight.

    + **Synthesize risk assessments into succinct, comprehensive reports.** Distill complex concepts and processes across a broad range of stakeholders into concise, written work product for high-level teams and executive leaders. Communicate complex issues in a clear and effective manner.

    + **Forge strong partnerships.** Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leaders across the business, Global Governance, and other corporate support functions. Facilitate productive risk-based discussions and coordinate working groups.

    + **Operate with excellence.** Drive excellence in every aspect of the ERM process by exhibiting great attention to detail, exercising sound judgment, and fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.

     

    What you’ll bring….

     

    + Direct experience driving enterprise risk assessments and innovation around risk and the ERM process.

    + Subject-matter expertise in internal audit, compliance, legal, or regulatory functions.

    + Strong understanding of metrics and data and experience integrating technology and AI/ML into risk management workflows.

    + You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and are solution-oriented.

    + Experience working on large, cross-functional teams, regularly reporting to senior leaders, and facilitating risk-based discussions.

    + You are a self-starter, driven, and able to exercise judgment to execute quickly.

    + You are a curious learner, able to think on your feet, and foster a culture of effective leadership and mentorship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, law, or a related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management OR 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic and financial planning, legal, compliance, or a related field.

    The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
