Job Description:
*Highland Hospital is seeking a Per Diem APP to join its Perioperative Support team. Candidates for this role would work during the week, Monday - Friday, Days as needed/available. Ideally looking for an APP that can pick up around 8 hours every two weeks, sometimes a little more, but around there.
Some duties include but are not limited to:
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner works in a collaborative/medically supervised relationship with the Medical Director of Perioperative Services with the goal of insuring that each patient who presents to the operating room of Highland Hospital is medically optimized to undergo the procedure/surgery for which the patient is scheduled. In addition, that the nursing staff in PreAN, PACU and Phase II recovery have consistent access to APP level of expertise that will expedite patient care and flow
Salary Range:
$70.00 an hour for Days

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._

Job Requirements:
1. Education: Fulfilled the educational requirements to be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in NYS
2. Experience: Preferably at least 1 year
3. License/Certification Required: license/certification as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner; CPR certified.
4. Skills: Knowledge of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures recommended
