This Opportunity
WSP is currently seeking a **Senior Lab Coordinator** to help lead the laboratory operations and support field operations in the WSP Augusta/Grovetown office.
Your Impact
+ Lead or participate in laboratory accreditation and audits
+ Perform laboratory testing of soils, concrete and concrete constituents
+ Support concrete mix trial verification activities
+ Conduct personnel training in applicable testing standards and inspection practices
+ Provide field support and guidance for junior staff on complex field conditions
+ Supervise junior laboratory technicians, as needed
+ Proactively identify technical issues and help mitigate risk
+ Interact with client representatives (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites
+ Participate in developing and managing client relationships with project management team
+ Participate in proposal preparation and marketing activities with management team
+ Participate in professional organization activities
+ Maintain or pursue professional certifications as needed
+ Support strategic business development initiatives for the lab within the A/E/C sector, identifying new client opportunities and expanding service offerings.
+ Represent the lab at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance visibility and brand positioning.
+ Oversee lab operations to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery of testing services.
+ Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote lab capabilities and success stories.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma.
+ 11+ years of related experience on variety of complex projects preferred
+ Certifications might include a combination of GDOT RTT, ICC soils, ACI concrete, ICC Reinforced Concrete, ICC masonry, NPDES Level 1A or 1B
+ Valid Driver’s License required
+ Reliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times
+ Ability to prepare reports and documentation
+ Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
+ Ability to work in variable outside conditions
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
