    About the team

    About the team

Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) is a project management and execution team that operates within operational data center spaces, as an entity of Data Center Capacity Delivery (DCCD). Our team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize capacity, critical power, and cooling at deployed sites globally that exceed the scope of regular preventative maintenance and engineering operations. Projects also include Reworks and Conversions (RWK/CON), Infills (INF), Upgrades (UPG) and Data Center Capital Improvement (DCCI) projects. Over 90% of CPI work is conducted around, above, adjacent, or under operational racks and supporting equipment in the data center spaces. The team is established in three primary regions (AMER, APJC and EMEA). Each region includes regional managers that are supported directly by cluster managers and project managers. In larger regions, area managers are responsible for oversight of specific availability zones (AZs) to support the project managers. CPI project managers work at the data centers and have the direct responsibility of managing yellow badge labor force to conduct work. The project managers relay consistent communication about safety, security, availability, and schedules to project stakeholders.
