WKEF has an immediate opening for an Executive Producer. In this role, you’ll be overseeing our evening newscasts, helping write and edit scripts, editing video and working with reporters on their daily assignments. You'll also be a driver for all of our digital platforms including website and social media.

The main responsibilities for this role includes:

+ Supervise producers and reporters as well as reviewing scripts and providing feedback to encourage growth

+ Help manage content center during breaking news and weather events

+ Collaborating with other managers to help assign reporters stories and showcase content in newscasts

+ Updating website and sending out timely news alerts on all social media platforms

+ Planning and overseeing continuity into upcoming newscasts

The skills you need to be successful in this role:

+ Ability to perform well under pressure and meeting strict deadlines

+ Be a compelling and accurate writer

+ Extraordinary people skills with the ability to coach and motivate

+ Strong leadership and communication skills

+ Flexibility and fast problem-solving skills are vital

+ Proficiency with iNews a plus

+ Knowledge of Adobe Premiere/Express and AVID

+ Journalism or related degree preferred

+ 2-3 years of producing experience
