    Required: Previous Quality Control/Quality Assurance Management experience in modular construction, building construction, or traditional commercial construction is mandatory to be considered for this position.

    The Role:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented, QC/QA Manager to join our growing team in a dynamic modular construction manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, compliance, and performance of modular panel enclosures used in the commercial construction of restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores.

     

    The QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities within the modular manufacturing facility. This role ensures the consistent application of quality standards from raw material inspection through final product delivery. The manager will lead a team of quality inspectors, drive continuous improvement, and act as the primary liaison for quality with internal departments, external clients, and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with both project specifications and applicable state modular building codes.

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

    Quality Management System (QMS) and Planning -

    + Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System and project-specific Quality Control (QC) plans for all modular building projects.

    + Establish and communicate quality standards, policies, and procedures throughout the organization.

    + Work with engineering and production teams to integrate quality standards from the design phase to final assembly.

    Inspection and Testing -

    + Oversee and perform regular inspections and tests on incoming materials, fabricated components, and assembled modules to verify conformance with technical drawings, specifications, and building codes.

    + Conduct structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing system tests to validate compliance and performance.

    + Verify and document that all materials received comply with the project plans and specifications.

    Documentation and Reporting -

    + Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance checks.

    + Manage a system for documenting and resolving non-conformances.

    + Prepare quality reports and metrics.

    Compliance and Audits -

    + Ensure units comply with building codes and regulations and meet certification standards for installation states.

    + Coordinate audits and inspections.

    Continuous Improvement -

    + Analyze data and lead root-cause analysis for quality issues.

    + Collaborate on corrective and preventive actions.

    + Promote a culture of quality improvement.

    Team Leadership and Training -

    + Supervise the QA/QC team.

    + Provide training on quality standards.

    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience -

    + A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Quality Assurance (BSQA), or a related field is optimal.

    + Experience in QA/QC, preferably in construction or manufacturing.

    + Prior management experience is beneficial.

    + Knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, NEC, IPC, state modular codes).

    + Experience with commercial construction projects (restaurants, retail, food service).

    + Certification in quality control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector, ICC Certifications) is a plus.

    + Knowledge of ISO 9001 is desirable.

    Skills and Abilities -

    + Knowledge of building codes and proficiency with quality management tools.

    + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    + Leadership and organizational abilities.

    + Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

    Work Environment -

    + Factory-based with occasional travel to project installation sites.
