The opportunity involves leading a Machining Team while engaging with clients to ensure top-tier quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
+ Lead a team of 5 on the shop floor, reviewing drawings and blueprints.
+ Develop and implement quality plans that adhere to ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
+ Engage in customer and client communication to address quality-related queries.
+ Apply problem-solving techniques and process improvements.
+ Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
+ Conduct audits and partake in PPAP processes.
+ Verify and inspect blueprints and drawings with the Quality team.
+ Train and guide team members in quality assurance practices.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance.
+ Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
+ Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
+ Experience with PPAP and conducting audits.
+ Strong communication skills for interaction with customers, engineers, and vendors.
+ 4-10 years of experience in a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
+ Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
+ Experience in contract machining.
+ Soft skills are essential for effective team leadership.
Work Environment
This position is based in a machine shop environment within an ITAR facility, requiring hands-on presence on the floor. The role involves working closely with the machining team to ensure precision and quality in production processes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $79,000 to $105,000. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
