    **Job Title:** Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator

    **Location:** San Jose, CA

    **Shift:** Day Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

    **Pay:** $25/hr

    **Employment Type:** Contract-to-Hire

    Position Overview

    We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **SMT Operators** to join our team at a premier electronics manufacturing facility

     

    in San Jose, CA. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong experience in printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and surface mount technology, who are

     

    committed to precision and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Operate SMT equipment to assemble electronic components onto PCBs.

    + Perform manual system assembly using torque drivers and various hardware.

    + Execute soldering tasks (e.g., resistors, transistors, transmitters onto circuit boards).

    + Conduct functional testing and Pass/Fail analysis on completed systems.

    + Utilize computer systems for load functions and back flush operations.

    + Retrieve and manage materials from flow racks as needed.

    + Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the production process.

    Required Qualifications

    + 3-5 years of experience operating SMT machinery in a manufacturing setting.

    + Solid understanding of PCBA processes, surface mount technology, and electro-mechanical systems.

    + Proficient computer skills.

    + **Proficiency in English** — must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend instructions and documentation clearly

    + Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time.

    + Must be comfortable handling small parts with precision.

    + Must be comfortable reading and following blueprints and written instructions.

    + Must be able to work overtime, including Saturdays.

    + Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
