Job Title: Production Helper
Job Description
As a Production Helper, you will be responsible for material handling, machine operation, packaging, labeling finished products, and preparing them for shipping. You will assist with the setup and operation of automated production machinery, specifically for weatherizing solutions on large paper rolls used in the construction industry. Your role will also include shop cleanup and general shop assistance, as well as operating a forklift to move materials.
Responsibilities
+ Handle materials and operate machines efficiently.
+ Package and label finished products for shipment.
+ Assist in setting up and operating automated production machinery.
+ Clean and maintain the shop area.
+ Operate a forklift to transport materials.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency in forklift operation.
+ Ability to handle industrial machinery and perform machine operations.
+ Competence in general labor and materials handling.
+ Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred.
+ Openness to working in an industrial environment with a positive attitude and drive.

Work Environment
You will work in an industrial manufacturing setting with heavy machinery. The role requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hard hats, earplugs, and safety glasses. The work schedule rotates between three shifts every eight weeks: Day (6:45 AM – 3:00 PM), Swing (2:45 PM – 11:00 PM), and Night (10:45 PM – 7:00 AM), moving backwards from Night to Swing to Day every eight weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.80 - $24.80/hr.
