Job Description

Join our team as a Packer where you will be responsible for meticulously loading and securing customer equipment and materials into crates using various tools. You will also contribute to crate assembly, ensuring the quality and accuracy of packaging components, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

+ Carefully load customer equipment and materials into crates using hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, or ramps.

+ Unload, prepare, and complete crate assembly using hammers, nail guns, or drills. Assist with other crate assembly tasks as needed.

+ Fold, glue, tape, stitch, and assemble corrugated, foam, and plastic packaging components.

+ Accurately assemble kits, return unused materials to stock, maintain a clean work area, and perform quality checks for accuracy.

+ Address and report equipment defects or maintenance needs to ensure safe and efficient use.

+ Follow all procedures and policies, and understand equipment usage before operation.

+ Communicate any unsafe observations or acts to maintain a safe work environment.

+ Collaborate with team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Skills

+ 3-6 months prior packaging and/or assembly experience.

+ Ability to operate pallet jacks and hand trucks.

+ Spatial awareness and meticulous attention to detail for packing and securing materials.

+ Ability to work independently or in teams with minimal supervision.

+ Clear communication and understanding of written and verbal instructions.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ English fluency in reading, writing, and communication.

+ Basic computer skills, including logging in/out with ID.

+ Ability to read a tape measure in ¼ and ⅛ increments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

+ Bilingualism (English-Spanish) is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
