    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be involved in both sub-assembly and general assembly tasks. You will work with large window units, using hand and power tools to assemble components, ensuring precision and quality in each unit.

    Responsibilities

    + Work in sub-assembly or general assembly areas.

    + Add metal brackets and use hand and power tools to add fasteners, clips, or other hardware onto window units.

    + Use caulking guns to fill spaces and learn testing procedures on caulking products for window sealing.

    + Paint the ends of materials and work with non-fiberglass insulation.

    + Wrap netting around final units and inspect for flaws in assembly.

    + Handle large pieces of glass and sheet metal, working with precision.

    + Stand and walk for an 8-hour shift, assembling units typically waist high and 30 feet long.

    + Retrieve materials and conduct unit testing outside in the yard when necessary.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 3 years in a mechanical role.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and using power tools.

    + Experience in construction and installation.

    + Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.

    + Computer skills are a plus.

    + Minimum 6 months in an assembly-type role.

    + Familiarity with large unit assembly and hands-on work.

    + Flexibility in task assignments and departments.

    + Positive attitude, great listening skills, and a 'can do' approach.

    + Ability to take feedback well, verified by references.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
