Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering the opportunity to contribute to key financial operations and grow within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, and will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Perform reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and resolve any discrepancies.

• Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain differences between actual and expected financial performance.

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Record and post journal entries, including month-end and adjusting entries, to maintain accurate general ledger accounts.

• Manage accruals and fixed assets, ensuring proper accounting and reporting of financial data.

• Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring smooth cash flow operations.

• Generate and analyze trial balances to verify the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

• Utilize NetSuite to manage financial data and ensure system accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of month-end closing activities. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries, including month-end and recurring entries.

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.

• Experience with accrual accounting and fixed asset management.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar general ledger systems.

• Knowledge of corporate and sales tax processes.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform variance analysis and reconciliations.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
