    **Northrop Grumman Mission Systems** seeks a highly qualified individual to represent the interests of the **Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Class Mission Package** program as a **Logistics Support Specialist/Tool Room and Facilities Representative** for activities, operating out of the Mission Module Readiness Center (MMRC) at **Naval Station San Diego** .

     

    The candidate will be responsible for assigned logistics duties at the MMRC in San Diego as well as all tools and equipment used to support the MMRC team. A key function of this position will include supporting government facilities personnel in maintaining all facility equipment and materials including Hazmat and transportation of mission system modules.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    + Perform complete inventories and request replenishment parts and material using Navy procurement methods.

    + Verify serialized MM sub-components using configuration verification sheets (CVS)

    + Determine maintenance and repair materials required for MM deployment.

    + Serve as the primary material expediter for the MPSF program.

    + Manage tool room inventory issuing tools and materials to technicians.

    + Maintain calibrated tool inventory using METCAL calibration tool database.

    + Maintain all weight handling equipment (WHE), rigging gear inventories, and all fall protection gear for the local team.

    + Utilize Microsoft Office suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs required for generating documents and tracking purposes.

    + Serve as the HAZMAT/HAZWASTE point of contact, ordering, maintaining and disposing of Hazardous materials.

    + Serve as the alternate shipping point of contact.

    + Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of shipboard maintenance availabilities.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + HS and a minimum of 4 years of related experience.

    + 2 years experience a Logistics Specialist/Storekeeper/Inventory related background (i.e., developing requisitions for and managing records of equipment, components, repair parts and related materials).

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. A final Secret clearance is required prior to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance for continued employment.

    + 2 years experience with Microsoft Office suite products along with Adobe Acrobat programs.

    + Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including: Working in confined or restricted-access spaces aboard small craft and ships. Climbing ladders up to 20 feet and standing for extended periods. And Lifting up to 50lbs to waist level.

    + Must be able to pass the basic DOT physical exam to obtain and maintain forklift and crane licenses, as well as pass proficiency tests.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Active Secret Clearance.

    + Professional etiquette and ability to operate effectively in a distributed team environment and effectively communicate customer initiatives, strategy and mission needs.

    + Experienced with ordering, issuing, and stocking parts/materials utilizing the Navy Supply (NAVSUP) systems, such as, RSupply, OMS-NG and/or other Navy systems.

    + Familiar with the Ship’s Maintenance and Material Management (3M), Preventive Maintenance system and its interaction with Navy Supply.

    + Experience with the LCS Class program highly desired.

    + HAZMAT, HAZMIN, HAZWASTE, HAZWOPER Qualified.

    + Experience with tools calibration (METCAL).

    + Knowledge and inter-workings of the Navy's Material handling Equipment (MHE) program elements.

    + Experience as a NAVY or Coast Guard SK2, LS2, or equivalent MOS position with the USMC.

    + Licensed Forklift Operator.

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $83,300.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
