    Job Description

    **AECOM** is seeking a **Sr. Project Scheduler** with a passion for driving results to join our high-performing Energy Practice team. In this role, the senior project scheduler will lead, author, collaborate and maintain the project activities across the entire project lifecycle – engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning to support our Renewables and Advanced Nuclear Department.

     

    AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.

     

    Our team provides a wide range of services across markets sectors including interconnections support, renewable generation (Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Terrestrial Wind), power distribution (EV charging networks, microgrid design, etc.), next generation energy (fuel cells, etc.) as well as advanced nuclear. This includes being a part of the first-of-a-kind program with AECOM partners advancing the innovative stellarator technology to the world.

    We seek a project professional able to direct and manage the schedule development and maintenance process from the early stages of scope definition (e.g. basis of design stage) through the commissioning, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders.

     

    This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design, construction and commissioning for industrial and power generation projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with matrixed design teams, vendors and client stakeholders.

    The successful candidate will:

    + Create comprehensive, interdependent project schedules that include key activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, and other essential deliverables to be tracked throughout the project lifecycle.

    + Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects to develop and monitor influential and critical path activities, leveraging historical data to enhance accuracy of future forecasting

    + Establish and maintain logical scheduling frameworks, incorporating realistic activity durations, resource availability, manpower levels, and constraints in alignment with industry standards.

    + Conduct schedule impact assessments to identify risks and support mitigation strategies with project team members

    + Support project overall success by implementing process improvements, monitoring project performance, generating status reports, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all internal and external communications.

    + Collaborate closely with project teams, vendors, construction staff, and clients to produce accurate reports and drive project objectives.

    + Offer expert guidance and problem-solving support for complex project control challenges.

    + Participate in occasional travel (<10%) for office or field visits

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    * + BA/BS and 8 years of relevant experience OR AA/AS and 10 years of relevant experience

    + Demonstrated experience in scheduling and project controls supporting complex industrial or power generations projects and/or programs

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + 12+ years of relevant experience in Power Generation Design

    + Understanding of Cost Estimating

    + Field construction or commissioning knowledge and understanding

    + Expert in Primavera P6 scheduling

    + Experience in 4D+ BIM model environments

    + Experience with facilitating schedule development reviews with internal and client teams

    + Expert in developing schedules utilizing the project team, vendor and contractor developed deliverables (drawings, specifications, contracts, etc.)

    + Demonstrates a proactive approach to collaboration across project teams and stakeholders to gather essential data and drive project success.

    + Fervent curiosity and ability to learn and adapt to new software applications

    + Earned Value Management (EVM) systems experience

    Additional Information

    + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

    + Relocation is not available for this position.

     

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $130000 to $160000.
