Department Summary: MITRE is seeking an experienced University Recruiter, Associate to join our team of talent strategists who connect extraordinary talent to MITRE’s mission. Our University Recruiter Associates are trusted partners to the business, responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle and delivering a seamless and strategic hiring experience in close collaboration with hiring teams. We’re seeking a dynamic, passionate, and outgoing University Recruiter, Associate to help us attract the brightest emerging minds in science, engineering, and technology. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging top student talent from leading universities and research institutions, with a focus on individuals specializing in AI, Machine Learning, data analytics, and computer science. Roles & Responsibilities: + Identify and recruit candidates for internships, fellowships, and early-career full-time roles, managing the full-cycle recruitment process to include sourcing, screening and submitting qualified candidates to the business. + Build trusted partnerships with hiring managers, providing data-driven guidance on talent availability, recruitment timelines, and sourcing strategies. + Serve as a point of contact for campus engagement, including career fairs, recruiting events, and virtual info sessions. + Plan and execute engaging events on campus to attract students to MITRE. + Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and a high-touch, personalized recruiting approach. + Reach out to referrals in a warm, professional manner upon receiving the resume. + Plan and execute engaging events on campus to attract students to MITRE. + Serve as a MITRE Brand Ambassador internally and externally, representing the organization’s mission and values across all interactions. + Create formal offers in Workday system and negotiate final offers as needed. + Engage in on-campus events, including career fairs, to build relationships and convert prospective candidates into applicants. Basic Qualifications: + A Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + 6 months + of campus recruiting experience. + Excellent communication skills; written and verbal. + Experience with ATS and HCM systems required, preference for Workday experience. + Professional services, technology, and/or government contractor industry experience highly preferred. + Ability to travel up to 50%; requires a minimum of two days per week on-site.
