Global Finance Transformation is the digital and processes transformation arm of Global Finance Services within Caterpillar Inc, focusing on reducing complexity across processes, automating work, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The Transformation Office leads the execution of this strategy, delivering faster, more accurate business insights that fuel profitable growth

As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with leading professionals and engage in data science work on high-impact, high-visibility products.
In the role of **Senior Accounting Digital Product Owner** , you’ll serve as a strategic partner to leaders in Global Finance Strategy, Data, and Advanced Analytics. You’ll support a Global Finance transformation team operating across the USA and India, with a focus on data platforms and analytics-driven business solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the rapid growth and influence of our Global Finance digital ecosystem.
What You Will Do:
+ **Business Data Analysis** : Collect, identify, analyze and interpret Finance and Accounting data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements
+ **Requirement Gathering** : Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
+ **Process Improvement** : Deliver lean projects to further improve the efficiency of Global Finance program management reporting processes by utilizing digital tools.
+ **Product Vision and Roadmap** : Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
+ **Backlog Management** : Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are developed first.
+ **Stakeholder Communication** : Act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, gathering and interpreting requirements.
+ **User-Centered Design** : Implement user-centered design methodologies to enhance user satisfaction and product usability.
+ **Performance Tracking** : Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use analytics to inform product decisions and improvements.
+ **Agile Practices** : Work within agile frameworks, facilitating smooth and efficient development cycles.
+ **Project Planning** : Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
+ **Team Leadership:** Champion and support a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Resolve conflicts and ensure alignment with project goals.
What You Have:
+ **Decision Making and Critical Thinking** : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
+ **Effective Communications and Collaboration** : Understanding effective communication and collaboration concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
+ **Software Change Request Management** : Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
+ **Software Engineering:** Knowledge of software engineering
+ **Software Problem Management** : Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.
+ **User Acceptance Testing (UAT):** Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-user
+ **Finance and Accounting Business Acumen** : Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
What Will Set You Apart:
+ Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting, information systems, STEM or similar related discipline
+ Knowledge of water fall and Agile methodologies, tools and techniques
+ Knowledge of business process design in Finance and Accounting domain; ability to develop appropriate techniques to re-examine key processes and focus on optimizing organizational performance.
+ Intermediate understanding of SQL concepts and professional experience with database management (SQL Server and Snowflake) and data reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau etc.)

+ The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL
+ This role requires 5 days a week in office
+ Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $179,640.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
