Job Title:              Logistics Supervisor

Classification:     Exempt

Department:      Logistics

Reports to:          Logistics/Purchasing Manager

Purpose:

The Logistics Supervisor provides guidance to the shipping and receiving areas of the business. This position is a leadership role instrumental in the communication of delivery status to our customers and within the organization.

General Duties:

+ Hire & train employees

+ Supervise employees

+ Manage work schedules

+ Ensure that all customer shipments are made on time.

+ Ensure that receipts are organized , put away & entered into QAD system in a timely manner

+ Communicate with Production and Customers on delivery issues

+ Resolve issues with Accounting timely

+ Coordinate transportation between KAAP , vendors & customers

+ Insure that daily production is put away into proper place in the warehouse

+ Provide a safe working environment

+ Direct the department’s 5S activities

+ Skills:

+ Strong verbal and written communication.

+ Excellent problem solving and time management.

+ Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment.

+ Ability to work with minimal supervision when required.

Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.

+ Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.

+ Prior experience working in a multi-cultural company is preferred.

+ Experience in automotive sector is preferred.
