This position is responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Human Resources and Training & Development Teams at Hartford Funds. The major areas of support include, but are not limited to:
+ Assisting HR and Training & Development teams with materials and information necessary for project completion and meeting preparation
+ Coordinating logistics for workshops, webinars, and other L&D events
+ Creating surveys and analyzing feedback to improve training effectiveness
+ Maintaining learning management systems (LMS) and tracking employee progress
+ Researching best practices and benchmarking learning strategies
+ Assisting with New Hire Orientation facilitation
+ Scheduling employee exit interviews and coordinating offboarding
+ Answering routine questions based on established policies and procedures
+ Preparing reports and analyzing and interpreting trend data
+ Anticipating team’s needs and working proactively
+ Assisting the Recruitment team with interview scheduling, candidate communication, and other duties as assigned
+ Administrative duties as assigned (e.g., process expenses and invoices)
+ Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business program (preferred)
+ A high energy, results-oriented professional who is capable of quickly taking control of their responsibilities and establishing themselves as a trusted co-worker
+ Proven track record of working in a fast-paced and complex environment
+ Excellent organizational, planning and documentation skills with thorough attention to detail
+ Work independently as well collaboratively toward team and organizational goals, demonstrate good judgment with excellent follow-through
+ Capability to develop a “big picture” perspective
+ Impeccable integrity and sound judgment
+ Focus on building knowledge of the business and leverage that knowledge effectively in daily execution
+ Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
+ Experience using Copilot or similar AI platforms preferred
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to quickly learn new systems (e.g., Workday, Concur)
Please note this is a hybrid role (Mondays thru Thursdays in-office, with the option to work remotely on Fridays), with the co-op's employment at Hartford Funds ideally spanning from January through July 2026.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
