Amazon's Global Media and Entertainment (GME) division represents one of the company's fastest-growing and most innovative sectors, housing premier entertainment services including Prime Video, Amazon Music, Twitch, Audible, and Amazon Games. The GME Finance Technology team plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining the financial infrastructure that supports these dynamic entertainment platforms. Working at the intersection of finance and technology, our team collaborates closely with finance professionals and data engineers to create automated solutions that drive efficiency, provide insights, and enable data-driven decision-making across the GME portfolio.
The Product Manager will lead the strategic direction and execution of GME Finance's Fintech solutions portfolio. This role will work closely with finance teams, data engineers, and app developers to deliver automated reporting solutions, predictive forecasting capabilities, and interactive analytical tools that serve GME Finance teams across our entertainment businesses. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical acumen with business insight to drive product strategy and roadmap development for our financial technology solutions.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
• Develop product strategy and roadmap for GME Fintech solutions
• Drive innovation based on user needs and business requirements
• Define and track KPIs for product success
Product Development:
• Partner with engineering teams on technical requirements
• Create PRDs and manage development lifecycle
• Prioritize features across product portfolio
Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with finance teams on reporting and analytical needs
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Present updates to senior leadership
Technical & Project Leadership:
• Guide data architecture and technology decisions
• Ensure solutions meet scalability and security requirements
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage project timelines
• Balance resources and dependencies
User Experience:
• Gather feedback and define success metrics
• Drive product adoption and training
• Document solutions and maintain runbooks
• Assess ROI and business impact
A day in the life
Morning starts with checking TM1 application health and team stand-up. Lead a discovery session with Prime Video Finance, analyzing their Excel models and mapping out process automation opportunities with our TM1 developer. Afternoon focuses on translating requirements into technical specifications, working closely with data engineers on architecture design. Day includes monitoring existing applications, handling support escalations, and ensuring smooth operations. Regular stakeholder meetings to track project progress and align on priorities. Balance shifts between project delivery (70%) and operational support (20%), with 10% on documentation and planning.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level
- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Tableau, Essbase or Cognos)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
