    Basic Job Functions:

    The role of the Department Administratoris to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Maintenance Department, ensuring efficient operations and effective communication. The duties include but are not limited to:

     

    + Coordinate and execute bonus reports, tracking production rates, weekly payroll and time entry for maintenance staff and related departments.

    + Prepare and process purchase orders, work orders, invoices, and bonus reports.

    + Support coordination and scheduling of maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance, including maintenance logs, procurement, and maintaining accurate records of equipment manuals and inventory.

    + Support equipment reliability analysis in data analysis, data tracking.

    + Assist our departments initiatives in effective spares by supporting our warehouse initiatives, e.g. overstock and critical spare analysis.

    + Serve as a point of contact between the maintenance team and other departments.

    + Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and meeting documentation, e.g. Power BI reports, minutes of meetings, Gantt Charts. Drive the use of new technologies to enhance such reports.

    + Support training coordination, including scheduling, preparing materials, and tracking attendance.

    + Provide administrative support for departmental projects, continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects tracking and documentation.

    + Coordinate communication (phone, email, internal correspondence).

    + Ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive information and situations.

    + Back up other production administrative roles as needed (e.g., Roll Mill Administrator).

    + Ability to quickly adapt to new systems as needed.

     

    Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Two years of business experience.

    + Must have a high school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent.

    + Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Two or four year degree.

    + Two years of business experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

    + Knowledge of Power BI.

    + Basic knowledge of project administration principles.

    + Strong math and analytical skills.
