             Job Description Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Department: Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology Transplant Nephrology – Clinical Faculty Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL **Rush University Medical Center** , a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, seeks a full-time Transplant Nephrologist at the level of an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Department Specifics: + Position located within the Division of Nephrology at Rush University Medical Center. + Works as part of the Transplant Service Line, which includes 13 clinical faculty and 11 Advanced Practice Providers. + The Transplant Service Line provides multidisciplinary care across all phases of kidney and pancreas transplantation. + Program averages approximately 150 kidney transplants annually with locations throughout Chicagoland and northwest Indiana. + The mission of the Transplant Service Line is to deliver superior patient care and maintain excellent clinical outcomes through collaboration across multiple specialties. Duties and Responsibilities: + Provide comprehensive care for kidney and pancreas transplant recipients, including pre- and post-transplant management. + Perform kidney transplant biopsies and participate in the assessment of living donors. + Supervise and mentor renal fellows and contribute to ongoing research initiatives + Support the outreach strategy by attending outreach clinics in the greater Chicagoland area to build referral streams for kidney transplant patients. + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care throughout the pre-transplant, perioperative, and post-transplant phases. Qualifications: + Board Certification in Nephrology required. + Completion of a formal ASN/AST Accredited Transplant Nephrology Fellowship. + Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research in transplant nephrology. + Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with an interest in working across a large, integrated health system. **Rush University System for Health (Rush)** is an academic health system whose mission is to improve the health of the individuals and the diverse communities it serves through the integration of outstanding patient care, education, research and community partnerships. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
