BAS Controls Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
+ Design and develop control system architecture for HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
+ Program and configure BAS software (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.).
+ Perform system commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation of control systems.
+ Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and electricians to ensure successful project delivery.
+ Create and maintain documentation including control drawings, sequences of operation, and system manuals.
+ Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
+ Utilize Revit for system modeling and coordination with architectural and engineering teams.
+ Design and support ICT infrastructure including structured cabling, network topology, and system integration.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 3+ years of experience in BAS controls engineering or related field.
+ Proficiency with one or more BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara AX/N4, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, etc.).
+ Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
+ Proficient in Revit with experience in BIM coordination.
+ Strong background in ICT systems and infrastructure.
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $72.12/hr.
