    We are seeking someone to join our team as a Grants & Contracts Officer for our Public Transportation Office located at ourheadquarters office in Boise. We are seeking a candidate that is highly motivated, customer service focused, and detail oriented to fill this position. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and providing oversight for several Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grant Programs. Using Qualification Based Selection (QBS) procedures, the individual will be responsible for developing/preparing, coordinating, and executing various agreements/contracts for our internal and external statewide partners. This position will ensure that all agreements/contracts are in compliance with all state and federal requirements. This position is also responsible for developing/preparing all statewide State/Local Agreements related to transit projects. The selected applicant will collaborate and work with internal and external customers and partners including but not limited to the Federal Transit Administration, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, transit providers, etc.

     

    This position requires strong emphasis on customer service, procurement and agreement/contract development expertise, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a variety of audiences. The successful applicant will need exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated experience maintaining order in a fluid and challenging environment.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

    + Develop grants, contracts, and agreements for transit services in compliance with state and federal requirements including 2CFR200.

    + Administer and manage awarded grant programs.

    + Provide technical expertise statewide in the areas of State/Local Agreements, grant writing, and reporting.

    + Provide training and technical assistance related to grant management, procurement, closeout, etc. Training will be conducted by utilizing a variety of training methods, including public speaking.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience:

    + Developing grants or contracts including identifying goals and timetables and determining program needs and funding;

    + Monitoring and evaluating grant or contract activities and expenditures;

    + Interpreting laws, regulations, and policies and advising on their requirements;

    + Evaluating statistical and financial information and developing reports of findings.
