We are seeking a creative and established Land Planner/Landscape Architecture Group Manager for our well-established studio in Morrisville. This individual will lead the overall staffing, supervision, management, and growth of the studio. Responsibilities

+ Provide leadership and direction to the Landscape Architecture and Planning team in the Morrisville office.

+ Partner with clients to advance master plans, small area/corridor plans, develop site plans, and manage the rezoning and entitlement processes.

+ Oversee design development, preparation and/or administration of contract documents, cost estimates, agency correspondence, client relations, staff supervision, and mentoring.

+ Engage in business development and marketing activities, including networking, active participation in professional forums, presenting work to professional organizations, writing proposals, and maintaining budgets.

+ Prepare project contracts, invoicing, and financial reporting.

+ Present projects to public officials and planning boards, and engage in public interaction.

+ Build and grow the team and department.

+ Manage exciting projects, including large-scale master planned developments, urban infill sites, residential and commercial sites, greenways/parks, and various mixed-use projects.

Essential Skills

+ Landscape architecture, Landscape design, Urban Planning

+ Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D

+ Experience in land and site development

+ Project Management skills

+ Strong financial management skills

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Sketchup), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ A degree in Landscape Architecture or Planning from an accredited program preferred.

+ Professional registration as a Landscape Architect or Certified Planner.

+ 8 or more years of professional Land Planning/Landscape Architecture experience.

+ Understanding of the entitlement and permitting processes for the City of Morrisville, Wake County, and surrounding communities.

+ Experience working with local codes, ordinances, and public agency standards.

+ Strong business development skills and knowledge of the local land development market.

+ Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

+ Experience with developing and following a formalized QA/QC program.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office environment near PNC Arena with approximately 10% travel in the field. The position offers a healthy backlog of work within the private and public sector, providing the tools to expand or grow the group as deemed fit.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
