Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for programming all production processing needs, preparing jobs for production, and creating both product assembly work instructions and manufacturing equipment processing instructions. Your role will involve maintaining a program database and detailed records for all CNC machines, utilizing engineering drawings to program machinery, and troubleshooting problems with failed products or systems. You will also participate in resolving quality issues and driving improvements, planning manufacturing assembly and test workflow layouts, and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Program production processing needs and prepare jobs for release to production.
+ Create product assembly and manufacturing equipment processing instructions.
+ Maintain a program database and detailed records on all CNC machines including laser and punch/laser combo.
+ Use engineering drawings to program machinery for engineered items.
+ Troubleshoot issues with failed products, systems, or processes.
+ Participate in resolving quality issues and drive associated improvements.
+ Identify and plan manufacturing assembly and test workflow layout.
+ Work with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with QMS, EMS, and OSHA standards.
+ Assess opportunities for improvement and implement necessary changes to management systems.
+ Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
+ Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching testing methods.
+ Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
+ Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods.
+ Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
+ Maintain product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.
+ Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
+ Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
