Job Title: Housekeeper
Job Description
Join our team as a Housekeeper, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of linens within the hospital. You will start your day by managing and transporting both dirty and clean linens, ensuring that hospital floors are adequately stocked and ready for patient care.
Responsibilities
+ Load and transport dirty linens to designated areas for cleaning.
+ Unload clean linens and organize them in the storage room.
+ Stock linen carts and deliver them to hospital floors, maintaining par levels.
+ Track and record the location, amount, and types of linens at each delivery point.
+ Utilize an iPad to scan bins and manage inventory effectively.
+ Distribute linens to specific floors and storage closets as needed.
+ Work independently and make decisions on the go.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
+ Personable and able to interact with other hospital employees.
+ Proficient in using an iPad for daily inventory tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in stocking, housekeeping, custodial, or general labor is beneficial.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends every other week. The role is based in the hospital's basement linen department and involves a significant amount of pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the hospital.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
