Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders to join our team, focusing on welding stainless steel and aluminum bars. Openings are available for MIG welding positions, and candidates will undergo a welding test during the interview process. Each welder will have their own booth equipped with all necessary tools and equipment, including a welding helmet.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum bars.

+ Interpret and work from technical drawings and welding symbols.

+ Identify and understand the properties of different metals.

+ Utilize cutting and grinding tools such as oxy-fuel torches, plasma cutters, and angle grinders.

+ Assemble metal structures from raw materials.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding techniques.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

+ Knowledge of metal properties, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

+ Experience with cutting and grinding tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience preferred over formal education, but education is also considered.

+ Experience in welding for companies like McNeilus and Concast is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-air conditioned and can become warm during the summer months. However, the environment remains comfortable during the winter due to the heat generated by the machines. All necessary equipment and tools are provided in individual welding booths.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chatfield, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
