    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining production and quality at the Plant and Port Warehouse by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include on-shift equipment and facility maintenance, repair, and providing on-the-spot troubleshooting support. As part of the Maintenance Team, you will work to improve equipment efficiency and throughput by supporting improvement projects and performing preventative maintenance.

    Responsibilities

    + Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.

    + Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts.

    + Support improvement projects to enhance equipment efficiency and throughput.

    + Perform preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operation of machinery.

    + Provide on-the-spot troubleshooting support during shifts.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a maintenance technician in mechanical and troubleshooting roles.

    + Experience in electrical maintenance and repair.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Experience in food production maintenance.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is expected and enforced in such situations.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr.
