Job Description
The Title Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the vision and values of title management by processing truck and equipment deals and preparing legal transfer documents for the DMV and all title services. This position aligns with the business objectives of the organization and includes serving as a regularly scheduled Receptionist. Responsibilities encompass receiving and directing callers and visitors, operating a telephone console, and performing clerical work. Additionally, the Title Assistant prepares title materials by collecting, reviewing, and managing data, and ensures timely mailing of materials for sales purposes.
Responsibilities
+ Assist the Title Manager in strategic planning, innovation, project organization, and resource negotiation.
+ Develop an annual title plan and strategies to achieve sales goals.
+ Coordinate title communications to support plan objectives and ensure resource effectiveness.
+ Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of title systems.
+ Prepare tax and title documents for new and used vehicles.
+ Post vehicle sales and purchases and report new truck warranties to manufacturers.
+ Register extended service policy contracts.
+ Maintain and prepare library resources of title literature, graphics, and materials.
+ Develop strong relationships with service providers.
+ Attend educational workshops or classes to maintain industry knowledge, which may include occasional travel.
+ Optimize performance by checking progress of title efforts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High skill level in computer operation and familiarity with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
+ Notary Public certification.
+ Problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret instructions in various forms.
+ Discretion with information and ability to make accurate assessments.
+ Strong desire to learn and ability to work independently.
Work Environment
This role requires on-site presence every day from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility. The work environment includes occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration, but the noise level is typically low. Physical requirements include sitting, walking, climbing stairs, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing. The employee may need to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
