What You Can Expect
Incumbents in this position are part of the Metrology Programmer Technician Training Program. Training on writing programs for software-driven inspection measuring systems with an emphasis on Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs for product/equipment inspection and Metrology gage inspection. Debug and certify programs, and support production in software driven inspection measuring system downtime. Will be required to rotate through different departments, campuses and/or shifts.
This position is on-site 5 days per week (Monday -Friday, 8-5pm) in Warsaw, IN.
How You'll Create Impact
+ Receives individual training and mentorship on software driven inspection measuring systems with an emphasis on CMM Programming.
+ Train and learn to write software driven inspection measuring systems programs with an emphasis on Coordinate Measuring Machine programs for product/equipment and Metrology gage inspection, debug and certify programs, and train appropriate parties.
+ Respond to special inspection priority jobs, by reviewing print and set-up procedures, obtaining specialized fixtures, inspecting items, and reporting evaluation results.
+ Respond to software driven inspection measuring system downtime requests by identifying and correcting malfunctions.
+ Use shop math to calculate data and evaluate data.

+ Ability to build relationships with other areas of the organization. Daily contact and/or communication with quality technicians, tool and die makers, gage design engineers, quality engineers, production supervisors or managers, manufacturing engineers, and buyers.

Your Background
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ One year Machining and/or Receiving Inspection experience preferred.
+ Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (required). Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (preferred)
+ PC-DMIS certification (preferred)
+ Experience in operating and or understanding the measuring methods and output of a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) (preferred). PC-DMIS programming knowledge preferred.
+ Ability to learn and utilize advanced three dimensional CAD system. Unigraphics preferred.
+ Working knowledge of measurement equipment used within Metrology (vision systems, manual height gages, general inspection tools, etc.) (preferred).
+ Understanding of pertinent ANSI/ISO standards and calibration methods/techniques (preferred).
+ Understanding and use of Outlook, Word, Excel. Understanding of Minitab preferred.
