We are looking for:

As a member of the Maintenance & Engineering department at the West Deptford plant, the successful candidate will be involved in improving equipment reliability, designing new equipment installations, and assisting with day-to-day maintenance troubleshooting in a polymer manufacturing facility. The co-op will have numerous opportunities to actively participate in team activities and work independently.

We count on you for:

+ Assist with the development of equipment maintenance strategies.

+ Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs and practices.

+ Analyze maintenance repair costs and equipment effectiveness (OEE) data to develop prioritized plans for reliability improvement projects.

+ Provide technical support in reliability issues and assist in troubleshooting process or equipment issues.

+ Support mechanical integrity relating to atmospheric tank, pressure vessel, and pipe inspections and repairs.

+ Provide support for the design and construction of plant upgrade and improvement projects.

+ The primary processes supported involve polymer (vinylidene fluoride) and fluoroelastomer production at the West Deptford plant.

+ To give you the opportunity to interact with the different research teams in several scientific domains (e.g., microbiology, analytical, process safety,...)

+ To develop your scientific, project management skills and knowledge on methodology for polymerization and formulation of polymers for the coatings market.

You will bring:

+ In pursuit of of Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and Materials Science

+ The co-op is expected to have a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software. A basic understanding of material balances, chemistry, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics is expected.
