The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP) is the central planning function within CSCP focused on forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning for all Microsoft Cloud services and associated hardware, directly impacting the success of Microsoft's cloud business. We are seeking an experienced **Senior Demand Planning Manager** to join our team!

Responsibilities

+ Oversee and direct the plan or forecast across the company for demand planning, applying advanced techniques like time series analysis, scenario planning, and simulation modeling.

+ Leads capacity plan development and engagement, while impacting customer capacity availability and the bottom-line cost for global server deployments.

+ Leads the designing of solutions to adjust to changes in demand after deployment and excessive finished goods.

+ Drives process enhancements and supports strategic initiatives, model validations, and software integration for forecasting and planning tools in addition to project tracking, quarterly reporting, and financial variance analysis.

+ Independently defines and manages strategic implementation for both new and improved processes two to three years in advance.

+ Leads collaboration among team and leverages data to identify pockets of opportunities to apply algorithms to improve a solution to a business problem.

+ Provides coaching to team members on business context, interpretation, and the implications of findings.

+ Manages hardware and software roadmap.

+ Engages with senior leaders to difficult business decisions around risk mitigation or de-risk.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 6+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience

+ OR equivalent experience

+ 3+ years of experience working with Product / Engineering Groups in Cloud / high tech supply chain

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 12+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience

+ OR equivalent experience.

Demand Planning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
