    Join Our Team - Experienced Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Roles

     

    Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a rewarding career in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Our Roanoke Rapids Mill team is seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technicians to help maintain and repair state-of-the-art paperboard manufacturing equipment.

     

    Pay Range: $31.19 - $41.56 per hour (based on education and experience)

    What You\u2019ll Do

    * Work alongside experienced mentors to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance.

    * Support continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

    * Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

    * Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for unplanned shutdowns.

    * Maintain and troubleshoot advanced control systems (DCS, PLC).

    * Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for process control systems.

    * Complete work orders, documentation, and change control procedures accurately.

    * Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines.

    Mechanical responsibilities may include:

    * Valve and gasket replacement, pump repair/repacking, welding (basic), forklift operation, pipe and tubing installation, cylinder and motor repair, and maintenance of mechanical drive systems.

    What You Need to Succeed

    * Minimum age: 18

    * High School Diploma or GED required

    * Two-year technical degree, registered apprenticeship, or equivalent formal training

    * 3+ years of heavy industrial maintenance experience

    * Multi-skilled maintenance background (mechanical and electrical)

    * Knowledge of mechanical drives, pumps, seals, hydraulics, and lubrication

    * Welding experience (stick, MIG, TIG)

    * Machine shop skills (lathes, boring, balancing, CNC)

    * Ability to work weekends/holidays and in varying conditions (heat, noise, indoor/outdoor)
